Unified tournament resumes after snow-related delay

The state’s unified basketball tournament is set to resume Thursday with four regional semifinals around the state after those games were postponed for two days due to the recent snowstorm.

North semifinals will match No. 5 Foxcroft Academy (5-4) at No. 1 Hampden-Bangor (7-1) and No. Carrabec-Madison (7-1) at No. 2 Bucksport (7-1).

In the South, No. 4 Bonny Eagle of Standish (8-1) will be at No. 1 Edward Little of Auburn (9-0) while No. 3 Lewiston (7-2) visits No. 2 Westbrook (8-0).

The regional finals now will be played next Monday at the home courts of the top-seeded semifinal survivors.

The state championship game will be played at 6 p.m. Thursday at Thomas College in Waterville.
