‘Paws for the Cause’ games postponed until Jan. 11

Due to a heating issue at Medomak Valley High School in Waldoboro, Tuesday night’s scheduled “Paws for the Cause” high school basketball games between the Panthers and Lincoln Academy of Newcastle have been postponed.

The games now will be held on Thursday, Jan. 11, with the boys game at 5:30 p.m., followed by the girls game at 7 p.m.

During these varsity games the Medomak teams will be wearing pink uniforms, and commemorative T-shirts will be available for students and fans of both teams to purchase.

Other fundraising will take place both before and during the games, including the chance to add your personalized “Pink Paw” to the gym wall for a $1 donation. The evening’s 50-50 drawing and all other proceeds will go to the Maine Breast Cancer Coalition.
